This research focuses on inclusive education as a service that addresses the needs of all students without discrimination based on their social, intercultural, or personal circumstances. The situation described and analyzed as a problem in Ecuador reveals that there are still children and adolescents who have not received this educational service, grouped into at least four categories: (a) students from ethnic minorities; (b) adolescents who begin secondary education at a later age; (c) students with disabilities who do not receive any type of support; and (d) students in the intercultural bilingual education system who have teachers and educational materials that do not meet the demand for bilingual education, among others.
