The objective is to conduct formative research to strengthen care and feeding practices among children under two years of age and pregnant women, and to use it as a basis for implementing an edutainment strategy aimed at social and behavioral change.

To achieve this objective, the following activities are proposed:

Actividades

  • Diagnosis of current practices: Identify, document, and analyze care and feeding practices among pregnant women and children under two years of age, as well as the factors that influence them and families’ capacity to adopt better behaviors.
  • Application of formative research: Implement formative research methodologies in the natural environment of households to validate recommendations for behavioral change.
  • Design of change strategies: Define and systematize effective practices and messages for behavioral change, incorporating approaches based on equity, gender, interculturality, and disability.
  • Development of educational materials: Create and validate tools, materials, and methodologies to promote effective edutainment practices at the individual, family, and community levels.
  • Development of a methodological manual: Design manuals that allow the research and strategies developed at the local level to be replicated.
  • Food basket: Identify foods with high nutritional value that can be produced locally to create a nutritionally appropriate food basket with local relevance.
  • Curriculum design: Develop a contextualized curriculum for infant nutrition training, together with a manual for its replication.
  • Family training: Train families in good infant nutrition practices through participatory face-to-face sessions.
